Getting to Scotland

As Scotland only shares a land border with England, getting there by road is fairly straightforward. Each of the following roads cross the border:

• A697
• A68
• A7
• A74

Alternatively, travelling to Scotland by rail is available from:

• National Express East Coast - London Kings Cross to Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen and Inverness;
• Virgin Trains - London Euston to Glasgow and Birmingham to Edinburgh and Glasgow.

Ferries to Scotland are available from:

• Stena Line - Belfast to Stranraer (1 hr 45 mins)
• P&O Irish Sea Ferries - Larne to Troon ( hr min) and Cairnryan ( hr min)
• Superfast Ferries - Zeebrugge to Rosyth ( hr min)

Flights to Scotland are also available to the main airports:

• Aberdeen (BAA)
• Dundee (Dundee City Council)
• Edinburgh (BAA)
• Glasgow (BAA)
• Inverness (Highlands and Islands Airports)
• Prestwick (Infratil)
