The People of Scotland
Anglo-Saxons
The Angles settled in northern Britain in the 5th century
AD and formed the kingdom of Northumbria. This stretched from the Tyne to the Forth and much of the area is now in England -
however it was all north of Hadrian's Wall.
Other Angles, along with the Saxons and the Jutes, invaded
England and drove the Celts west into Wales and north into Cumbria and Strathclyde.
