The Isle of Arran seen from the eastern side of the Kintyre peninsula, separated from the mainland by the
Kilbrannan Sound, Arran is the largest island in the Firth of Clyde and is reached by a ferry that runs
during the summer months from Claonaig, at the northern end of Kintyre, to Lochranza, at the northern end of the island.

The other ferry to Arran sails from Ardrossan in Ayrshire to Brodick on the eastern side of the island. Looking
across from the south side of the bay, Goat Fell, the highest mountain on the
island, stands out with Brodick Castle nestled below and the A'Chir Ridge to the
left.

To the west of Spean Bridge in the Great Glen stands the Commando Memorial
with a fantastic view south to the Nevis Range.

Davaar Island sits at the mouth of Campbeltown
Loch to the east of Campbeltown itself. Looking
towards the island from the northwest, the shingle walkway, known as The
Doirlinn, that links the island to the mainland at low tide, can be seen running to
the right of the island.
